Frequently Asked Questions:
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost to ride is $30/hour per person, regardless of age.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We are located on the beach just north of the Shilo Hotel. Go through the gates of Ocean Shores and take the right at the Round about. Go straight to the water and then we will be just to your right on the beach.
I HAVE CHILDREN YOUNGER THAN 7, CAN THEY RIDE WITH ME?
NO, we cannot take anyone under 7. Each rider must be able to ride and control their own horse for the hour. This is due to insurance and city regulations.
We do not accept reservations for beach rides. We must see each person who will be riding. Just show up at the beach, bring everyone who will be riding, and we will schedule for the next available ride we have room on. We will only schedule you for the same day that you are there. Please see the trail ride page for information on trail ride reservations.
IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT?
Yes, our horses have a 220 pound weight limit, which we strictly enforce. No exceptions will be made.
If you have a party of more than 10, we do ask that you call ahead to give us a heads up. We can take approximately 18 riders per ride on the weekends – but may not be able to fit your entire group on one ride depending on the requirements of each rider.
WHAT ARE YOUR SEASONS AND HOURS OF OPERATION?
We are open 7 days a week from June until Labor Day. We open at 10am each day and the last ride is between 4 and 5pm.
Outside of the summer, we are open the same hours on weekends only February thru May and in September.
I HAVE NEVER RIDDEN BEFORE, DO YOU HAVE A HORSE FOR ME?
Absolutely. We have a horse for everyone from the beginner to the advanced rider.
CAN WE DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN WALK?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. We allow walking only during our rides for the safety of you, the rider and the other visitors to the beach.
BEST CLOTHING/ATTIRE FOR RIDING?
- Long pants and jackets
- Sneakers or cowboy boots strongly recommended
- Hiking boots or other heavy treaded footwear are discouraged
- Sandals or clogs or high heels are discouraged (You can ride barefoot)
